How much would it be to buy a franchise?

I am doing a business project for my class. I need a large restaurant to replace or a large store, but I can’t think of a price to buy the franchise. Any ideas? Thanks

Hello people. I belong to Pakistan and I have been looking at different business ideas lately. I was wondering how I could get the Converse franchise for my country as converse has a huge fan following here yet no official retailer carries converse.

Converse does not franchise their stores. Their outlets are company-owned.

Is The UPS Store A Good Franchise Opportunity?

I’m looking into franchise opportunities and was wondering if anyone in Yahoo! Answers have any ideas about how good The UPS Store franchise is. Things like how much is needed to start. How long to break even. How profitable it is, etc.

My suggestion is to visit local stores and ask questions.
Do they like the business? Without asking what they make a year, ask them if it can be profitable. Ask, ask, ask. Offer someone a free lunch if they answer your questions. Gives them a little incentive to be more forthcoming. Oscar.

PS Baby white or what ever her name is, is wrong about pricing at the stores vs. the hubs. Insurance being the only casualty their. The stores charge more for insurance. Also, mbe4120 seems a little bitter. Must not be doing as well as some of the other stores. I know someone who is running one. He is making more than he ever has. Don’t listen to us, go to the stores.
Buy in is between 150.000 and 260.000. They want you to have 40.000 cash on hand. Good luck.

you can ask the franchise organisation to give you a guarantee on their business plan that they have given to you

I want to open up either a subway restaurant or a coffee franchise. Is this a good idea?

I’ve been wanting to open up a small business but not sure which.
If I do decide on which one I’m planning on working at a similar place for 3 to 6 months since I don’t have any restaurant/ coffe shop experience.

I heard Subway can go out of business easily and it’s a very hard work physically.

Is this true?

I have a friend here in Dubai that owns about 10 subways on franchise basis. He says he has to open quite a few in order to make reasonable profit because the profit per restaurant is small. You also need to use subway’s furniture and decor materials, their fridges, cookers, displays, posters, etc. and this all comes at a higher price than the market but the agreement is you HAVE to buy from them only, so you have a higher setup cost than would otherwise be possible.

On the other hand, a coffee shop would be a much better idea since the costs are minimal and the profits much better.even franchises still make more sense than food joints because u can still sell snacks n cakes n brownies at a coffeeshop n make a killer on very low cost. This has actually been my plan once I move down to Toronto in 2 years from now.
