I want to sell my small tax prep business located in WNY about 45 min s. of Buffalo. Where should I list it?

650 clients, 450 regularly active. Most middle income wage earners, some small businesses, farms, professionals. Potential for payroll and bookkeeping. Excellent opportunity for existing business to expand.

don’t forget that YOU are basically that business – It’s a personal relationship with you that keeps them coming back – the customers might not like who you sell to so, it may be very hard to value the business properly. you might want to bring in a partner for one year to ease the transition, so the customers get to know the new owner
